We all know that March babies are lucky enough to have aquamarine as their birthstone, but you don’t have to share your day with St Paddy to wear this gorgeous gem. After all, who wouldn’t want a gem that brings tropical lagoons and calm waters to mind?! What is Aquamarine? Aquamarine means “water of the sea” and originated in the 17th Century. These stunning stones are part of the beryl family of minerals, which also includes emeralds. Aquamarines come in colours ranging from the palest blue to dark blue-greens.
